  6. Purpose of learning

    To provide knowledge about how the Estonian business environment is organized, how a business plan helps in creating a company, and how to practically draw up a business plan for a company in Estonia (including for receiving subsidies/investments).

     
  7. Learning Outcomes 
    • Upon completion of the training, students know the basics of the Estonian economic environment, the procedures and risks of creating, operating, closing a company, as well as the existing subsidy systems in Estonia that support entrepreneurship;
    • Forms of entrepreneurship provided for by the Commercial Code of the Republic of Estonia, the occurrence of company income, as well as types of expenses and their behavior in the course of activities;
    • The stages of starting a business from the formulation of a business idea, the essence of a business plan and the principles of its development, as well as the opportunity to engage in self-employment or open your own business.

    The training provides an understanding of why writing a business plan is important when starting a company and how to write a business plan for a successful and sustainable company.

    Persons wishing to become entrepreneurs who need the knowledge and skills to draw up and write a business plan for a company operating in Estonia.



  9. Conditions for starting education 

    Depending on the curriculum version, there are differences in computer proficiency requirements. You can find out the exact requirements when registering for training with our consultants.


     
  10. The total amount of training, incl. share of classroom, practical and independent work 

    Option A: 80 hours of self-study and independent work in the online environment of the Center for Entrepreneurship (e.g., writing a business plan, completing training tasks, etc.)

    Option B: 80 hours of self-study and independent work in the online environment of the Center for Entrepreneurship (e.g. writing a business plan, completing training tasks, etc.), incl. 6 academic hours of contact training (eg consultations and feedback on the prepared business plan or its parts, etc.).

    Option C: 48 academic hours of contact training and 80 hours of independent work (eg writing a business plan, completing assignments started at the training center, etc.).


     
  11. Description of the e-learning process 

    The training is interactive, everything necessary for the successful creation of business plan materials is in the online environment of the Center for Entrepreneurship in electronic form. Self-study and successful completion of the online course meet the entrepreneurial training requirements set by the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund.

     
  12. Content of training 

    The course focuses on preparing and writing a business plan. The situation in the Estonian market (market research, overview) and the position of competitors in the market are analyzed in order to identify the competitive advantages of your company and determine the target market.

    • It is planned to acquire the necessary funds and an action plan to launch the company.
    • A marketing plan and financial projections are being prepared.
    • The trainees receive an overview of the business and economic environment in Estonia in order to increase their entrepreneurial activity and provide the knowledge and skills necessary to start and manage a company.

     
  13. Important topics are 
    • entrepreneurship and enterprise concepts,
    • the personality of the entrepreneur and his characteristics,
    • creation, life cycle and termination of the enterprise (bankruptcy);
    • sales, company and environment, support systems (including grants from the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund) and financing;
    • business idea and business plan.

    When choosing options with contact training, tasks are solved in its course, and various topics related to starting a business are discussed in order to ensure the competitiveness of a start-up company. In the process of contact training, students receive recommendations on the preparation of a business plan and its further development. The training involves mentors who share with trainees their experience of starting and working as an entrepreneur, marketing products/services, establishing contacts, applying for permits or licenses in Estonia, etc.

    Graduates know where and to whom to turn in the future for information in the field of entrepreneurship and from which sources they can apply for financial support.


     
  14. Assessment, or conditions for completing training 

    Option A: successfully passed tests (minimum passing percentage - 65%)

    Option B: successfully passed tests (minimum passing percentage - 65%)

    Option C: Class attendance (minimum 80%)


     
  15. Document issued upon completion of training 

    Upon completion of training, a certificate is issued.


    If the student has completed tests or participated in classroom work to a lesser extent than the established minimum, then a certificate of completion of the topics of the course is not issued.


     
  16. Educational materials 

    Educational materials in electronic form are relevant, of the appropriate degree of complexity and contribute to the achievement of the learning goal. All participants receive individual access to the online training system of the Center for Entrepreneurship. The training materials contain a set of practical and homework assignments, on the basis of which the trainee can prepare a business plan during the training.


    The Training Center provides each student with electronic training materials free of charge using the training systems used in the process. The cost of e-learning materials is included in the cost of training.

     
  17. Description of the qualifications or training (or work) experience that make the teacher competent 

    Teaching qualifications - acquired special training in the area of the curriculum group (qualification confirmed), practical teaching experience of at least 120 academic hours and at least three years of experience in the same field.
